I like how they think it is different because it is money. Wait and ask them the same thing when they get their first paycheck and see if it is still different. I bet they won't be so quick to give up their hard earned money then either. :screwy::screwy::screwy:

I am embarrassed to say that I am part of that demographic. It is always amazing to me when I try to talk to some of my classmates about these type of social issues. My school is in the ghetto, and everyday, we see people buying slurpies and ice cream at the seven eleven with food stamps. Regardless of the obvious waste and abuse and regardless of the fact that some of the people I am talking to will hit the higher tax brackets and regardless of the amount of work and struggle they are putting in now, they still seem to think it is a good idea. I agree with the above, I would love to talk to these same people 10-12 years from now, when they actually see the amount of money that gets stolen from them every week. I had one guy tell me it was not our money anyway. Sense the government prints it, it is and will always be their money, so we should not be angry when we have to give it back to them. :screwy:

If you aren't a liberal by the time you are 18, you have no heart.

If you aren't a conservative by the time you are 30, you have no brain…

Professors and schools already do this. Example: Freshman year Chemistry class: Number of A's allowed 2. B's 4. C's 6. D's 10. (I asked the professor for help, had I done this 2 weeks before, I would have had a C, not D. At the start of the class, I might have gotten an A...)

That was a school which had a freshman class 60% larger than the slots available for sophomores. The school knowingly over recruited, and over accepted students. They do it every year. Why? Makes them huge $$$.

So. Which do you want, the reality of who actually SHOULD get higher grades, vs reality of schools using students for higher $, no matter how "good" the students are?

But hey, its an off topic rant.

Back on topic: Watch Penn and Teller on Petitions. They created one banning dihydrogen monoxide... (water) Oddly enough, most people will sign any petition put under their nose.
