Anyone use a Saf-T-Block for your Glock?

i still say that sticking your finger into the trigger well for anything other than firing is still a bad idea. yes, you can practice to your hearts content, but toss in a real life scenario and adrenaline.

Yeah, it's a bad idea to put your finger on the trigger until ready to fire. But the real world shows that even experienced people do it frequently. You have to make allowance for that. Just telling people to keep their finger off of the trigger doesn't mean that they will do it.

I don't know the complete answer. Probably a combination of training and designing the gun so it isn't too easy to set off. Reasonable trigger pressures and travel go a long way toward that goal.

I'm still thinking about adding a New York Trigger......maybe the No. 1 with the stock connector. If that works and feels more like a revolver trigger pull and I like it......I will probably toss the Saf-T-Blok. But for now, the Blok makes me feel better while carrying with a chambered round. I'm sure I could pop the Blok out faster than I could rack the slide to chamber a round (if I chose to carry without a round in the chamber). As far as forgetting to pop it out if I needed to shoot my gun......what about the people that carry a gun with a manual safety that you have to disengage before you shoot? Same principle there. Should we be telling them they should buy a Glock or similar gun without a manual safety? How about all you 1911 guys that like to carry cocked and locked? Do you carry that way with the safety off? :D

The one thing that makes me hesitate about adding a New York Trigger is that all of you that say you've tried it have eventually went back to the stock trigger setup. This makes me think that I wouldn't like it and it would just be a waste of time.
