Heeeey wait a minute.... The are 10-19? Then what is the problem? The law says they cannot carry guns, so they do not carry them. Must be some false story.

Since when are 18 & 19 year olds considered youths. I bet the title of the story would not be true if they counted them as adults.

To be fair it says youths, not minors. 19 is definitely young.

A battle between the 1st and 2nd Amendment rights. Now, that's a hoot!

More propaganda for the lefties to use.

the stats just dont match up. Not only are kids who cannot have guns somehow getting them in spite of the laws, the problems are in large citys which tend to have overbearing gun control laws on top of the age limitations. In addition such areas usually will not sell ammo to a minor. On top of all this, it is just not legal to shoot at people, not legal to fire a gun inside city limits, and other such things. All told, the gun control laws being broken here point to a much more important but grossly overlooked fact:

no one is enforcing the laws in these areas of the country! They outright admit that all this crime is going on and no one is doing a darn thing about it! If these towns cannot even stop small children from breaking the law, its no wonder they have so many problems!

Except that this data is not new. In recent years, the majority of gun-related crime including homicide has been associated with inner city youths, mostly black (I say this not to racially charge this, but because it's a fact), and related to gang activity and the illicit drug trade. It's a problem of the police not being able to effectively deal with gangs and illegal drugs, which we have spent trillions of dollars over the past 40 years trying to deal with. We put millions of people in prison for drug related crime, so many people, in fact, that we have the highest rate of incarceration of any nation in the entire world. Gun control advocates are making the same complaint you are, and they argue the next logical step is to restrict gun ownership nationwide since local restrictions alone don't work. Just sayin...

"On May 9, the Florida state legislature passed a bill that would make it illegal for pediatricians and other physicians to ask patients or their parents whether they have guns in their home. That battle is shaping up as one between the Second Amendment rights of gun owners and First Amendment rights of physicians."

The statement doesn't make since. How can the DR's freedom of religion and expression be denied by them NOT being able to ask if a gun is in the household? :D
