Ho, Ho, Ho!!! Chalk one up for shot placement (or luck) Nothing more embarrassing for a dead crook than to be exterminated by the humble .22 LR. I'm assuming it was a 22LR It could have been a FN5.7 or something exotic but if it had have been the media would have inflated that to the max.

Somebody buy that lady a new purse and a pair of shoes, she earned 'em!

Wow good story....

shot the suspect multiple times

still though, he made it to the back yard.

I still believe in the .22, it is the little caliber 'that could', and as we all know, it comes down to placement over caliber. In this case it did the job and I am glad she had one available and she knew how to use it.

wow. 2nd story of a lady defending herself in a home break in!

and to be honest.. this one scares me a bit. naked in the shower is about the worst place to be when someone breaks into your home.

congrats to her for putting up a fight! she did a great job.

and yea.. 22 obviously doesnt make the biggest hole, but it obviously did its job here.

Nobody breaking in to rape a lady is going to keep going while getting shot with a 22 thats for sure.

I wouldnt trust that against a drugged up guy who's goal is to kill you, but again, for this cercomstance it did the job alright.

And why would you think this lady wants a new purse and shoes? I sure wouldnt ;p

It deserves some reward.

I was implying that a purse and shoes may not be a 'reward' for her.

If there is anything I hate, its shoes, purses, and dresses.

Of course she deserves a reward. Maybe she would like a new pocket knife or holster.

Whatever turns you on my friend. I don't know why a female can't act like a lady AND be a dead on shot.

Hopefully it was the SOB that broke into my niece's house in Diuluth last week. Thankfully she wasn't home at the time.

Way to go lady!

I personally dont understand why someone would buy a .22 for home defense but if thats all you got & you make it work then more power to you!!

Nothing having to do with turning me on... I just find them annoying, impractical, and uncomfortable (Im a female).

There is certainly nothing wrong with "acting like a lady" and shooting. I'm just saying don't assume she is the type of female that WANTS to.
