It followed me home - My first 1911

I have never been much of a 1911 person, but lately I have been wanting one to play with. About a week ago, I was at the Outpost Armory, and they had a very lightly used (still looks brand new) Kimber SIS Pro. I always kind of liked the look and weight of this pistol, and the price was right, so.................home it went. Haven't got a chance to shoot it yet, but I am looking forward to it.

I would say you picked a darn nice one to play with, congrats.the 4 inch 1911 is one of the better sizes for carry also.

Nice Kimber! I've looked at the SIS models before and keep kicking myself for passing on the exact model you bought. I'm always keeping my eyes open for a 5" SIS as I've got the commander length covered now.

Great choice for a first 1911. And it's a beauty at that. I think you'll really like the 4in for carry and range.

Oh, no! Just like an AR-15? I started with one of those, now I have five.

Its a beauty!! I'm sure it will give you years of pleasure and good service! And as others have said, I find it very easy to carry and conceal my 4" .45 (mine is a Commander but I dont think that matters).
