Is your mag release giving you any trouble? It seems I have to have mine at just the right angle to get the mags to fall.

Congratulations on the new 1911. Let us know all the ins and outs. Way way too many people interested in hearing about this for you to fall behind here.

On the frame under the barrel it says "Read owner's manual before using". That's all that's on it.

I can't wait to read the range report.

hickok45 has already done 2 videos with his new SR1911. I haven't see the 2nd video yet but he loved the gun from what I've seen. This might be the first 1911 I purchase.

Did not know Ruger is in the 1911 business. I don't know how I missed that, but I am anxiously waiting for a range report.

Shoot! (pun intended), I was just down that way and didn't have time to stop. Yes--do you recall what his sticker price was? May need to run back....they sure are purty...

$649.99.....great price for a better than average 1911. And I will say again....gorgeous!!

Good price. Nice pics.

Say what does the little blue dot mean anyway? Final inspection passed or something? Passed the California bed-wetter tests?

Nice looking 1911. I wouldn't mind trying one of those. I wonder if Ruger will cut into Kimber's market share. Big price difference.

Whats up with the beavertail?

It looks like it has a relief on the outside edge.

Dolomite

Interesting observation. Wonder what purpose that serves, even if for aesthetics it seems a bit odd. Would like to see a better pic
