its exactly what it sounds like. guy gets pissed off for sears not letting him return his weedwacker that day or something. they call cops, dude attacks cop with the weed wacker.

funny part?

Burke was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, unlawful possession of a weapon (the weed whacker), and other charges.

be yee warned- dont be walking down the sidewalk with a weed whacker with no permit!

See, that's how pathetic our society is these days. Roll back 75 years (yeah I know there were no weed whackers much then) The story would have gone:

"Man loses temper at local Sears & Roebuck. Police subdue and deliver man to hospital. No charges filed as of yet, local officials are waiting to get a statement from the man. Doctors say it could be days before he wakes from his baton induced coma."

Well, it was probably an unregistered weed whacker sold via a show room floor loop hole that did not require a background check nor require him to register it. Heck I bet he did not even fill out the warranty card.

This was in the state of New Jersey (NJ) after all. Something should be done about them to get that place under control.

I bet some else even pumped the gas for him at the fuel station for him to use it. It was in NJ after all. :up:
