Nah, somewhere else with friends from work.

Yeah I know, you want to keep it all to yourself ................

I got one today. 5" SIS Custom with night sights, without rail though.

Pics later. I'll shoot it this weekend.

Congratz. Give us a range report after you take it to the range. I've been thinking about picking one of those up........Thanks

lol. Do I know you? Perhaps from another forum? I'm going as a guest. It would be rude for me to invite someone else.

Will do Big Mo. I suspect it will be like other 1911 reviews. "I love it, shoots great, feels great, no malfunctions, the golf course looks good, my golf swing feels good, I like my chances."

No, just giving you grief. I would like to shoot a Kimber sometime though and also have been admiring the SIS as well for a while. Something about the finish and serrations that really catch my eye. Guns and leather has had one for a while now but I just haven't been able to take the plunge, yet.

All that talk about wanting a rail. WTF?

The price was right on this slightly used but looks brand new model so without the rail to the tune of $300 cheaper so I said "**** it."

That look of that trigger is my only gripe, but it can and will be easily changed.

I don't blame you i would change it out two. But its a sweet looking Kimber.

One thing I can't stand on 1911s is the solid trigger. I don't think it looks so bad on this gun, but I'll probably replace it with a different trigger.

If I ever get back to having access to a Wire EDM machine I can cut your initials (or whatever) through the trigger. ;)

I talked to a few guys who have Nighthawks & Baers and they love there Kimber SIS....I was very impressed when I played with one at Guns& leather last Month...the slide to frame fit and trigger where very good ...no series 2 safety ...I too have been thinking of getting one. Great looking pistol( I like the solid trigger) Enjoy it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
