Need Permit class quick, where to look?

Like the title states, I need to find a permit class by the end of this month. I moved to TN from GA at the end of last year. My grace period will run out soon and I nearly forgot all about it.

Does anyone know of an outfit that has a class coming up that has an opening? Private or through a range?

I definitely would prefer something on the cheaper end of the spectrum, but beggars can't be choosers.

Thanks in advance!

Most of the gun shops around either have a class, or a couple of instructors that they can refer you to.

You might check with Gun City, as their classes seem to be slow to fill. Their instructors are TBI. Not recommending the store, but the class is fine.

Check with Sheriff's offices in outlying communities. Some have inexpensive courses once a month.

I think I paid $150 for the class when I took it. I didn't know any better though.

School Name: The Gun Shop

HCP Class Cost: $100

Jim is a great guy and great instructor. The class is taught and shot out of his house.

Try Pack 'n Heat. It's run by Officer Jeff Eady. He's a good guy, it's real close to you and the price is $65.

Course Registration

Excellent! This is just what I was looking for and will probably book through him. Guns and Leather was tempting because of the price, but getting there at 8 am from the boro was not that appealing.

....

You realize that the permit will take 2 weeks to 90 days, depending, with average maybe 30 days right now, right?

On the bright side, if you'll show your GA permit when you apply, it should only cost you the $50 renewal fee rather than the $115 normal fee.

Yeah, but thanks for the info anyway. I am just worried about the 6 months expiring before I apply, hence the urgency. The normal fee is what I am trying to avoid, and based on my drivers license, I have until June 3rd.
