It is a post war 99R in 300 Savage. I have several 99's, but this is the nicest I own.

My great grandfather passed on an 1899 in 30/30. A falling out in the family caused me to miss out on it. I;ve shot it though, and loved it. I'd REALLY like to have one in .308 Win. Not many folks ever seen a .308 levergun. I know the die hard 30/30 handloaders love the design too, you get to use them pointy bullets with the box magazine.

If you ever get bored with the camera, I'd like to see a better pic sometime. I think they are one of the coolest older style guns and they get almost no mention among normal crowds.
