Did some trading for a .22 yesterday

I did some trading at TN Gun Country in Clarksville yesterday and got the pictured Ruger 22/45. It has rails, but no sights so I put on a spare Millet Red Dot 3-10 MOA with variable intensity. Grip slabs are removable and the barrel is threaded. I threw out the offending mag disconnect apparatus and MKIII hammer, replacing the sear, hammer with those from MKIIs from days gone by. I did a little work on the sear and hammer hooks, as well as replaced the plunger spring. Although it has a stock trigger (I'll replace that with a VQ pre and overtravel trigger) with no overtravel prevention it now has a nice 2.75lb trigger pull. I'll run it through its paces tomorrow at Montgomery County before taking it to the Viola Valley Shooting Range on Satruday.

Wow, that's the coolest 22/45 I've ever seen. Let us see how she compares to Ol'Fauthful at the range:)

Please let us know how the 22/45 performed. I have been able to find this model at a good price, and I am seriously considering purchasing one in the near future.

If you can hold it will pretty much one-hole CCI AR15 bulk, just about like any Ruger MKII or III. The weight and balance with the red dot is good. I already have a guy chomping at the bit to trade me out of this rig. But first it needs a pre and over travel Volquartsen trigger just to see how nicely it will shoot with minimal trigger movement.
