Only slightly less than if you had them done in gold.

So basically everything outside of original is ghetto.... Oh boy.

95% of the gun will be black. Only accented by small chrome pieces.

.....Beisides the fact that everyone is against me doing this, does that sound a little less "ghetto"?

You do know that removing the plating is almost as much as putting it on right?

Seriously though...its yours and I believe you know where most of "us" stand. Do as you like but be prepared for flaming. Unjustly or not.

When I was young I wanted to "modify", "soup up", "pimp" everything in sight. Now I love to see an original. My how things have changed.

I know it will. But Im willing to deal with that.

I do want to show some more pictures of the gun from the top. It looks like it is discoloring. While the sides look fine the top seems to have some of the finish rubbing off of the barrel from the slide.

You say it was your grandfather's gun, you want to keep it in the family and it has sentimental value. From my perspective that means leave it as is.

Chroming, refiishing, etc, etc. will only leave you with an old pistol that nobody wants or cares about.

That's just my opinion and who I am. Take it as you will.
