Took mine only 4 weeks to arrive; I was expecting closer to 90 days. Looks like they are getting faster...either more or better resources processing these, or fewer people getting HCPs- probably the former.

Wife just called and said it was in todays mail. Tomorrow is my birthday so I guess I can look at this as an early birthday present! :koolaid: Sure glad I didn't have to wait 3 months!

TnFan,

Congrats!!! Its a great feeling when the wait is over.....that is for sure. Time for you to go to Walmart:)

im at 47 and still not here.

Sorry for your luck, I think that I would be making the call again.......

Keep watching, Saturday mail delivery COULD BE THE DAY!!!!!!!

completed my application today, lady at driver testing station told me 120 days IF i was lucky. Said that station alone processes about 20/day, so with everybody else it will take some time. I had read somewhere they have to issue within 90 days, is that correct?

Yes, they have to issue in 90 days, wait a couple of weeks, then start calling. You want to talk to Lisa Knight, as most everyone else there seems to be clueless.

I got mine in today. It took about a month and a half to get mine in. My mother in law put in her application about 2 weeks before me and still has not got hers in. But I called about three weeks ago, so maybe I need to tell her to call. I took my Wal-Mart trip today and also went to the Sportsman store in Dickson.

Mine arrived today. I filed the application Nov. 20, was printed two days later, and the issue date on the permit itself is Dec. 11 -- so, 21 days from start to finish. No phone calls, no prompting.

Pretty good turnaround, as far as I'm concerned.

Speedy Gonzalez must have been responsible for yours.

Heh heh, I had a similar experience. Application on 11/17, fp on 11/19, called on 12/11, "waiting on background check", I -more to myself than anyone else said, 'Background check takes that long". and she said, "Let me check something else . . ." and I kid you not, the next thing I hear was, "Oh, it just popped up, it was issued today." I got the permit on 12/16. But bless their hearts, they got it to me way before 90 days!
