Civil War Reenactor in need...

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for an Armysport or Euroarms repro U.S. Model 1842 for an early war impression going into the 150th anniversary reenactments. If anyone has one stuck in a closet somewhere and is ready to convert it to cash let me know.

I have an 1842 rifled musket, NIB. 69 calibre. Was considering re-inacting, however decided to participate in live-fire competitions with N-SSA.

P/M if interested.

just realized I might be violating some kinda rule by posting my answer. if I did, 'Sorry!"

Thanks for the tip. I checked it out and certainly don't mind finishing a kit however they only have an 1861 and 1863 Springfield and I'm currently in need of an 1842.

Is you a Yankee reinactor? Or is you a Rebel?

My great grandfather (Isaac Mason) fought with the Army of Tennessee. Lumsden's Battery. 2nd Alabama Light Artillery. During the Battle of Nashville he was at Rebout #4 which was less than 1/8 mile from where I lived in Nashville. He was 18 years old when he surrendered in Meridian Mississippi in 1865. He was shot once in the Buttocks at Nashville.

In keeping with the Civil War theme of this thread...

The Confederacy lost one of it's greatest Generals in that battle, Patrick Cleburne.

So, he was wounded while 'retreating' eh?

If I had the money I would join, always wanted to get in to reenacting both Civil War and WW2
