Yes you can. You just can't take it home with you. It must be shipped to a FFL in TN.

You can take posession of a long gun from any state that borders your home state. A hand gun can only be bought in your home state or shipped to a licensed dealer in your home state.

There are exceptions where, you have been working and living in another state for a required amount of time and able to show proof of this. Contact local FFl dealer for any changes to this provision, if this is applicable.
