Can anybody tell me who he is? Somebody I know on facebook posted the link and commented that it must be a southern politician. I'm hoping to massively embarress this person for assuming stupidity is somehow a southern trait.

Dammit. I was hoping he wasn't southern. Oh well, I've already brought up the example of the union officers in comparison to the confederates to demonstrate that the north has it's share of morons.

Johnson grew up in Washington, D.C. His father worked for the Bureau of Prisons

In my book DC is NOT the south...but there's more...this could explain his "rambling" on the video...

In December 2009, Johnson revealed that he had been battling Hepatitis C for over a decade, which resulted in slow speech and a tendency to regularly get "lost in thought in the middle of a discussion".

Oh well, at this point the argument has turned into nothing more then northern high school kids trying to justify the civil war without any real knowledge of it.

Well, at least he was talking to the Navy ( Adm. Robert Willard, head of the U.S. Pacific fleet) about his concerns. I can only image Admire Willard thought that was a joke and had to control his laughter.
