These were made of elk antler by Patrick Grashorn of Colorado. Pictures do not do them justice. The fit, feel, and look great!

My uncle made the pen pictured with it from a deer antler I'd harvested.

I have watched his stuff on the S&W Forum. Think my Model 60 would look great with a pair of his grips.

Really nice. I've only had my 642 a couple of months and keep thinking it would look great with some nice wood or antler grips - until I shoot it and it whacks the sh..ut yo' mouth out of my hand even with the factory rubber grips.

gregintenn, looks great. Patrick has done several grips for me over the years.

Here is my S&W 38/44 Heavy Duty with his elk bone stocks. :)

He is working a couple of 1911 panels for me right now.

I love the HD!!! If it's original, it's nice!!! I couldn't decide between the smooth grips like you have pictured, or ones with a bit of bark showing. I believe I'll go with the smooth ones next time.

Very nice!

If you want to polish up your Smith, you may be pleasantly suprised what a few hours in front of theTV and some Mother's Mag Polish can do for stainless.

It would look better, wouldn't it?

gregintenn,

Here is a pic of the 1911 grips that Patrick did for me. I asked for white/gray tones with no bark and Colt medallions. I'd say he nailed it.
