Lizards

Ok we've covered herons, snakes, panthers, and trees.

Anybody have any suggestions on how to keep the lizards from sneaking in around the door s from the deck. I thought about trying some crushed up moth balls at the base of the doors ,but that would be a little messy. I don't want rid of them I've always heard they help with bugs or I'm not afraid of them. I just don't one hauling a** across the living room floor with 3 great danes in pursuit and wife screaming "get it !!":panic:

Skinks I guess mostly? (blue-tailed lizards and etc)

I've never even heard of any folk remedies for dissuading them, myself.

Ive never had more than 3-4 get inside in a year, seems like a non-issue. How many are getting inside, and HOW are they getting inside? A well sealed house should not have too many openings wide enough for them to slip in, usually just the babys can get in like under a door or something (put in a new door gasket..?). If the house is full of gaps and holes, yea they are going to get inside, but the best way to get them to knock it off is to just seal up the place IMHO.

We have a deck upstairs and a concrete patio down with 2 doors on both levels. We always have several that hang out on both. We like to open the doors and just use the screens to circulate the air thru the house. thats when its an issue. Its not really a big deal untill one gets in. My reply is "ah he won't eat much" but they are pretty quick. Just thought something that might offend them across the doorway might keep everybody happy. yep its just skinks

Pull their tails off and point and laugh at them for looking funny, they will go away. Or shoot them. But they need kill'n.

Nothing really to add hear, other than I like them, but they are fast!

Not sure how to keep the little buggers out if they want to get in. The best I can suggest is keep a video camera handy and the next time the above situation presents itself, record the whole thing. With the money you could win on America's Funniest Home Videos, you could probably get new, skink-proof doors.

I never said we had everything here. In fact, I never said that we have anything here. I just get tired of condescending posts where people seem to think that they know, 100%, that something could not possibly exist when there is no way to know that.

In other words, people who think they know everything are annoying to those of us who actually do. (LOL!)

You maybe on to something here !
