No damage at my house, some small limbs and leaves everywhere. However, 3 houses down, at the end of my street, they lost a 55-60 year old oak tree, very pretty majestic tree. It is currently laying across my street blocking it completely. We are not a dead end so we can get out. Only item damaged was the road sign and the neighbors across the street won't be able to get out of their driveway.

Wow, you have a BIG house :death:

Oh... and don't borrow anymore chainsaws to clean up down trees

We made it through okay. All the landscaping we have done survived. MLGW is saying it will take days again to restore power. Last time we were one of the first. I dont think we will be so lucky this time.

Dats how we roll in Memphoo

The chainsaw was his, I'm not going to come in between a man, even one in a wheel chair, and his chainsaw when he wants to use it to help me. He would have kept going if it wasn't for that pesky blood flowing down his leg! :shakesfist:

City came in this am and removed the part of the tree that was blocking the road. Back the other way a tree fell on two houses.

These are from work. The lock was on the gates in the 3rd pic. They blew in and got wedged on the asphalt. It broke the lock and sheared the bolts out of the gate around where it locks.

Looks like they need to change that sign from Mesquite CV to 'Fallen Oaks Drive', anyhow.

Too bad about the loss of the old oak tree. On the flip side, [many types of] oak makes for good wood-grilled steaks.

Looks like we may get a bit more of the same today...

There is a crane out there at that house that had to lift the tree over the house and onto the street so they could remove it. Looks like it destroyed there carport, kitchen and a small addition on back of the house.

One of my best friends mothers house, which is west of me about half a mile, was hit by a huge tree, got two bedrooms, a bathroom and the den of her house.

Lot of damage out there. Seems like we have had a lot lately and a lot for so early in the season. Not just some clean up but devestating results, a friend of mines dad was killed two weeks ago when he came into contact with a downed power line, then these houses....
