Ive been a member since oct 09 and never seen this thread???? I finally have a reason to buy a revolver, always wanted a Freedom Arms .454 casull from my home state. Bees....stand the f&@k by.

Don't they make a .500 Cal offering? Why "settle" for a whimpy 454?  You might have unusually tough Bees!

I thought that it would be a good choice, if i were only going to have one revolver. Alot of my friends back in Wyoming had them in 454 and would get the 45lc wheel also. I seriously started checking prices....nothing but disappointment. They have gone up in price in the last 9 years, i remember a field grade coming into the shop for around $900. Looking for 357 smith now. :(

Ruger Super RedHawk is a more reasonable (??) price, and comes in .454
