Another new member from memphis

Hello everyone new guy here from memphis. I'm looking forward to reading more post. My fiancee and I are taking our handgun permit class on the 14th. We shot the g26 not to long ago and it was nice but the recoil was a bit much for us. I held a xd40 a few days ago and it felt a lot better than the glock but I did get a chance to shoot it. From my research I think I may end up with a xd9 tho. Any thoughts?

Welcome! Only thing I could suggest is to shoot as many different guns as you can before making a decision. There's no "one size fits all" in pistols.

Try as many as possible, shooting them will tell if the recoil is a bit much.

I used to have a glock 27 and it really wasn't much easier to conceal than the 19 I'd check out that size gun

I couldn't find a range that had the xd9. Everybody i called said they would have to order it for me. It feels great in my hand but I want to shoot it b4 I buy it. Has anyone seen it in their local range and if so which one?
