Ya, that happened to me once. Grabed the Desert Eagle 50 and and my cell phone and went to the door, young dude dressed like a punk wanted to use the phone to call an ambulance for his "grandmother" gave him a glimpse of the gun he stuttered something and left....his grandmother died. Somtimes we need trust also.

Dang tuff one:(. I think I would offer to call for them through the door of course if they say OK and wait they are probably on the up and up. I have a friend that got a knock on his door a week ago around 1 or 2 in the morning, it was a mid twenties girl. She told him her bf had just tossed her out and left her,she had been drinking. He said he told her to wait there and shut the door, went and called the SO and got his gun and then let her in to sit just inside the door. His wife got a gun as well and went to sit with there daughter asleep in her room with a phone in her other hand just in case. The SO arrived and knew the girl ( not thier first call on her) they took her home.

You just never know.
