it's not the money that's the root of all evil...it's the LOVE of money. Money by itself is pretty harmless...kinda like a gun on the shelf. Pick the gun up and the holder becomes a danger unless you know he's not a nut. Money is no big deal, but the one who lusts after money...him I worry about.

Right on! You can spend it, save it, or give it away. Other than that, it's little more than very poor toilet paper. People can sure make an ass of themselves over it, however.

People need to pay closer attention to the scriptures. It's like a road map...there's a place I want to go and the map says this is the way to get there. You don't get to choose alternate routes with scripture

Read it and then criticize it. It doesn't require scriptures. Money is money and there is nothing wrong with loving it, either. The literal meaning of money is not fiat currency. Real money is something tangible like gold, which is what Galt's gulch used. A paper currency is only worth what it is backed by and ours is being backed by less and less of whatever scheme is used today.

Money is good in the right hands and bad in the wrong one... problem is, when I have it, it goes like water to pay the bills. Paying the bills means I get to eat and allows me to live... living, in turn, allows me to work so I can make some more money to pay the bills... such a vicious cycle.

That's why I reload so I can save some and shoot more...
