Children’s Hospital Knoxville Carry question

I have to take my youngest son to Children’s Hospital in Knoxville for some tests.

From What I can tell they are posted for no carry, does anyone know if it is posted and if so is it at the entrances to the building or the property? I really don’t want to head that far from home without.

I walk by Childrens/Ft.Sanders a bit. Every main building entrance I've noticed is posted one way or the other. A couple of the professional buildings have "no concealed weapons" signs with gun and knife buster.

Haven't perused all the parking lots, but haven't noticed any weapons signs, and I've parked in a couple.

Thanks OhShoot,

getting ready to head out now and if I can have it in the car all is as well as can be.

If you've never been there, both hospitals are jammed in between residential on three sides and Cumberland commercial on the other. It's not like it's a big isolated "compound" like UT Hospital. I'm sure in vehicle will be fine. You might even find street parking a couple/three blocks around, though the UT campus area stays pretty full on the streets.

Hope your boy's health turns out well.

I don't know about the property being posted or not. I looked on Google street view, and the garage does not SEEM to be posted. Anyways, even if it is, there is plenty of on-the-street parking in the neighborhood around the hospital.

If you end up needing to park on-the-street, I would park as close to the hospital as I could or south towards Cumberland Avenue. Since December 2008 there have been 14 armed robberies reported in the Fort Sanders area according to the alerts I have from UT police. Most of those are east of 17th street, mostly between midnight and 4am. Stay safe, and I hope all turns out well for you and your son.
