That reminds me of one of my uncles.(the title of the thread, not the robbery) He and his girlfriend were out target shooting with his 44 mag. Not exactly sure how he did this but the gun was waist level and pointing down when it went off. Caught the tip of his "junk" and then went into his upper thigh, came out right before it hit his knee then tore down the side of his leg and barely missed his ankle. He was really lucky there was no major damage done. He did have a lot of stitches though.

This is the same uncle who cut off half of his thumb with a circular saw several years later. Super nice guy just not the sharpest knife in the drawer. :):D

I have a slight problem though. The woman was no longer in a threat because the robber had the money and was leaving the store. He had backed away and she pulled a gun and shot him.

I am not saying I wouldn't have done the same thing but it wasn't until after he was walking away that he got shot.

A bad DA could have a field day.

that robber turned towards her, he was still facing her, armed...that is how she got his ding ding....now had he been running out the door and been shot in the back, I would agree...not to mention that the robber was really close to her when he got the money, she may not have had time to draw...

I agree with mars, I see the point, but would quickly ignore it and continue laughing my azz off at the perp in the wheelchair that got a forced sex change as I sent him to be a real prision bish... ;)

You know, O. J.'s jury not withstanding, the criminal juries I've been on had a lot of common sense.

Most have a friend of a cop who knows how they operate in real life. Most have a friend of a druggie or drunk who knows how that works. In short, most juries have a sense of reality and how cops support their case and sometimes lie about stuff in order to get a conviction.

Generally, it comes down to the believability of the defendant.

Boy, the O. J. jury was dumb.

I would totally agree with her and would probably have done the same thing. I just see where a DA with a hard on against guns and gun owners would charge her as she was no longer in "immediate" danger and it wasn't until he made a comment about her age that she did anything to protect her self.

As a jury member, I would ignore it and let her have a piece of cake.

Guy was still in the store armed and facing her. That is a threat of to her life.

If I was on the jury they would have to remove me because I could not stop laughing.
