Just wandering if any of you guys/gals know of any decent firing ranges around the Cleveland area. Preferably a little to no cost range, im a cheapo.

I been to prentice cooper and the indoor range at Fugates in calhoun but I dont feel like fighting interstate traffic to get to PC and dont wanna pay 16 bucks at fugates.

I heard there was one out off of 411 in the benton area thats nice and free.

As a disclaimer im sure this topic comes up all the time but I did you the search function and I have tried google for directions to the one off 411 and keep drawing blanks. I figured I would just ask the people who most likely have been there :)

Cleveland hunting/rifle & stuff club has a small fee per year over your NRA membership (required), has good outdoor facilities, events, and so forth. Its on the chattanooga side, off the bypass (first exit). Its not the one you mentioned, I dont think, but its a nice place.

Saw that on google. I'm not a nra member but it'd be something to look into.

Any more suggestions anyone?

You have the Spring Creek range north of Benton off of 411 ($3 / vehicle / day), and there is the Sumac Creek range off of 411 just after you cross into GA ($5 / vehicle / day).

I went to Spring Creek yesterday and fired off 100 rounds w/ my new SR9C. I forgot how far it is off of 411! Don't give up... you'll get to it eventually!

I like Spring Creek if only for the drive. It's new and well built. Can't beat the price.

We live in Loudon and come from that direction but the way I get to Spring Creek, I take the road that turns off of 411 and goes past the entrance to Gee Creek campground (the turn off is more or less across 411 from the entrance to the Savannah Oaks Winery - I believe that is actually Delano, TN), drive until the pavement ends, cross some railroad tracks and then just keep going. And going. And going. The first time we went, my wife finally convinced me that we were on the wrong road, had missed it, etc. and that I should turn around. As I was pulling into a pull-off at the side of the road to turn around, I saw the Spring Creek sign just up the road - that is how close we were to giving up by the time we found it. The road that Spring Creek is on runs parallel to the Hiwassee River for a good bit of the distance and I threaten to take my fishing rod when we go (although I haven't, yet, because I generally wear myself out walking back and forth to change out targets on the 100 yard range.)
