I've seen people ask this question on other boards over the years. It's usually a death sentence or the crowd will cry troll. Either way, it generally ends up with some some hot tempered knowitall going ballistic on the keyboard. Lot's of luck to you pal, but with name like 'monkeyhumper' and democratic views please try to understand the ramifications of the path you have before you.

Oh, I understand. I have lots of conservative friends, and I catch plenty of hell. We have fun, despite our views. I know that in a place like this, the torches and pitchforks are at the ready, but I don't mind arguing, I welcome it!

This. I am a libertarian, which puts me to the left of many here. I don't go trolling, express myself intelligently and respect the views of others. As long as you can agree to disagree you will be fine.

Why would you think that Democrats need a separate section?

If someone is a communist/socialist/liberal/progressive/conservative/anarchist/libertarian/agnostic/couch potato or of just about any other mindset one could think of what's the difference? If you post something here on just about any subject you are bound to get some who agree with you and some who wont agree with you.

There is a wide range of political views here. I don't disagree with Democrats on everything, but I sure as hell disagree with their position on guns. We have some pretty liberal folks on here. What we don't have are anti-gun folks. They seem to vanish quickly in a little puff of smoke.

Even if such a section existed; unless one had to declare his party affiliation (assuming he even had one) and all but Democrats were excluded from entry into that section, you would likely get both Democrats and Republicans in such a section (alone with just about ever other political flavor and those who hold to no political flavor at all). In which case, what would be the point???

Bottom line is, if you are looking for a place to post and share ideas on the internet that doesn't also have folks with an opposite position, you would be hard pressed to find that anywhere and you certainly won't find that here. Hell, we can't even get pro-gun folks to agree on the very obvious position the the 1911 is the single best handgun design that has ever existed or ever will exist! If we can't get agreement on something so obvious how would we ever get agreement on anything controversial?
