Although it looks matte to me on the Metro Arms website I'll pass it on to the guy who asked me. Maybe it is the photography and it is really shiny in real life. Thanks, Craig in Clarksville

The straight "GI" model from American Classic (model AC45GC) is a duller satin finish hard chrome. It's the one with the standard trigger, hammer, and fixed sights.

The American Classic II, Commander, Trophy, and soon-to-be-released Amigo models are the bright hard chrome.

I've seen them at a gun show and the finish looks like a highly polished stainless.

I know a guy in Nashville who thinks he needs a legal chrome pimp gun in .45, yeah, he is is a cop. LOL. I'll pass this on. However, I am a big fan of chrome on guns if done right. That stuff is slick and durable. Just needs an outer coating but the innards can be as shiny as a new penny as far as I am concerned. I am going to find out how much one of these costs and the lead time in delivery.

Colt still makes runs of bright nickel time to time. Is he set on bright chrome or will bright nickel or polished stainless suffice? :) Haven't built a spec sheet for a pimp gun.

Any stainless gun can be made to look as good if not better than nickel, but won芒鈧劉t have the problems that come with plating.

Taurus Also makes one. If you don't mind a little gold trim.
