I have had several 357's.

Sig 229

Glock 31

Glock 32

Glock 35 w/ KKM barrel

Steyr M357

SA XD

S&W M&P (current carry gun).

I love the round. Recoil is only slightly more than a 9mm. Not as much muzzle flip as a 40. Same capacity as a 40.

What really impressed me was when I started shooting the 357. I used to have steel targets (plate rack, etc) in my backyard range. The 357 destroyed the steel in no time at all. I had shot these targets for years with 9mm and 40cal and didn't do that much damage. So I am sold on the power of the 357.

IMO the ONLY downside of the 357 is the cost of ammunition. What I do is have a 9mm pistol identical to my 357, and use the 9mm for practice and IDPA competition to save money on ammo.
