Tom Selleck LOSES IT On Extra For Pointing A Prop Gun At People On Set

Note to future extras on TV show Blue Bloods: Do not piss off Tom Selleckmag-glass_10x10.gif!

The notoriously nice actor, who is a board membermag-glass_10x10.gif of the National Rifle Associationmag-glass_10x10.gif, lost his shizz at an extra on set when the man picked up a REAL gun and started pointing it at people.

According to sources, Selleck yelled:

“Hey, YOU! What the HELL are you doing? That gun’s NOT a toy — stop waving it around! Look at you…your finger’s STILL ON THE TRIGGER!â€

The frightened extra, who was playing an onscreen cop in a scene, then squeaked out, "Is the gun really loaded?"

Tom knows guns, unlike 99% of the rest of the hollywood trash. He only did what a real man ought to do. Good job Tom!

The kind of education he gave that extra is not the kind of message you deliver soft and sweet. Soft and sweet may work when teaching someone BEFORE they pick up a gun. During the act of waving one around...you gotta make sure they realize how serious what they're doing wrong really is.

Way to go Tom.

+1 on the "what were doing on the Perez Hilton site.

Ask Brandon Lee if Tom should have been more lenient with the person handling the prop gun...oh that's right we can't ask Brandon, he's dead because of a prop gun.

Ouch....my eyes! Could they make that website any uglier? Oh yeah, they added Justin Bieber pics to the top, so yeah, I guess they could.

+1 to Magnum, P.I.

If someone points a gun at me I think it is okay to freak out a little. Particularly in this case where the guy pointing the gun was unsure if it was a real gun or not.

What's the rule? Never point a weapon at anything you aren't willing to destroy? That's why I only point my weapon at VH1.

Way to go Tom!

Now, MikePapa, what are you doing on Perez Hilton's website? :P

I did it through the joy of Google. I set up Google to send me an email each day for news dealing with guns. Being a Tom Selleck fan, I saw the article and couldn't resist sharing it.

Are you trying to tell me you're not a Perez Hilton fan? ;)

I had the opportunity to work with Tom on two movies. On one take he was shooting a riffle at someone and when he's watching on the monitor in post production he says "crap, that's not right!". We all looked around but he goes "you see the little tab on the bottom of the riffle barrel, it's all the way to the trigger guard so I'm out of rounds but I'm still shooting . . " He knows his stuff. We had to tell him that no one would notice. . except him and guys like you all! ;)
