Ruger Mark III Target Stainless

I picked up a nice Ruger MkIII Target all in stainless today at Shooters Depot in Chattanooga. They had it marked at $429.99, but let me have it for $440 out the door. Not a bad deal. Purty gun!

I took it apart and cleaned and oiled it, and put it back together. It was really already clean, but I always take them apart before I shoot them.

Very nice. I just got back a few minutes ago from Shooter's putting some more range time on my Mark III. They are great guns.

Beautiful pistol there, mouse. If I ever get able to post pics, I'll send up one of my Blued MkIII with Sig red dot.

Nice pistol!

My old Mark II looks a lot like that, but it's not stainless. Great shooter, ultra-reliable, and tons of fun.

Looks like we all missed each other, we dropped by SD for an hour around 5. Very nice looking gun, I love my MK II.

Yeah. I usually stop by after work around 6 - 6:30. I was incredibly ticked tonight after shooting. It was the closest I have came to hitting a perfect score on one of the exercises I do. I put the target at the end of the range and shoot 200 rounds in the x-ring or 10 ring. Anything in the 9-ring is a missed shot. A perfect score is everything in the x or 10 ring. On the third to last mag I got wild and put 2 shots in the 9 ring. I was totally frustrated.

85% of my shots stay in the x-ring. When I get good (if I ever get there), I will be able to keep all of them in the x-ring.

Mav, you are a marksman!

On taking it apart: taking it apart took about 2 minutes. Putting it back together took me an hour. The parts fit tight, and I was not aware of the importance of the barrel fitting back far enough on the receiver to allow the bolt to come up through the whole gizmo without too much trouble. (You all have gizmos in your Ruger don't you? :koolaid: )
