So I am looking at this Kit to complete my lower

Rifle Kit, Carbine, Modular, 16 [AR-RK16Mod] - $535.00 :: AK Parts kits - Superb Products

I was looking at doing the additional two options on the kit

Chrome lined Barrel

Chrome plated Bolt/carrier

Just wanted to get some opinions. You have to read carefully because the kit does not include the sights or the fore grip. Other then that it looked pretty nice. Not sure if anyone has had any experience with this kit or not. I'm working with a limited budget and that is the reason for going this route. Any Advice is more then welcomed. Thanks guys.

I'm still pretty new to all this but, at that price, unless you just really, really want to assemble it yourself, I would probably be looking at a complete upper from a known and respected manufacturer. I think you can start getting into a BCM for those dollars...

It's hard to read the description the way they run one long paragraph together. Maybe I missed where they named the brand of those parts?

ETA: Ok, maybe not BCM, if you want a BCG with it, but definitely Spikes and other respected companies.

Went and actually looked at BCM

Run away and run away fast.

These are the makers of Hesse, Vulcan and whatever other names they morphed into to avoid being responsible for their crappy kits. They routinely change names as word gets out.

Just do a google search of Vulcan or Hesse, that will tell you all you need to know. Also, compare the addresses of all three and you will see they are all one in the same.

MOE Lower build kit

Use coupon code: ar15.com $124 with the coupon code

BCM BFH 16" Mid Length Upper Receiver Group $489

Magpul MOE Enhanced Handguard $30

I'm guessing you already have a stripped lower. This is it for $643 plus shipping and all that jazz.

ETA: This is how I would have done it if I had known to before buying my Del-Ton.

That's what I had in mind for BCM but when I looked, it didn't appear to come with a bolt. Do you know for sure that it actually does?

ETA: I just looked at the link and it says BCG, charging handle and hand guard are NOT included.

You can get a complete dsa rifle for $700 if you prefer to build your own you can get a spikes complete upper less rear sight for $500 from joebob on here or aim. Get that moe kit linked above for $125 delivered and then you just need a lower which can be had for $100 to $150. If you really wanna build one on the cheap a cmmg m4 upper for $299 from Cdnn, a surplus arms lower for $59 from aim, an m16 bcg for $69 from sarco, then just buy the el cheapo lower kit with buffer and stock from palmetto state armory for $99 and your good to go.

I want to thank Everyone for helping. I am having a batch of Lowers custom engraved (the Crusader group buy). Kinda of the reason I don't want to use something unknown. I figured I would ask in the event I was able to find a great deal that people didn't know about. Knowing that that isn't the case I will look at the above options. Thanks again everyone. If anyone has any other idea's please keep them coming.

Well, I apologize. I did not know this... Really glad I picked up my Del-Ton, then. If we're exploring all alternatives to a Vulcan/Hesse build, let's go right down to it. We're looking at a fighting carbine, correct? If you're a patient man, I believe you can find some great deals on Equipment Exchange - AR15.COM
