Nope, don't get me wrong, I love bacon, but I also love ice cream. I don't want them together. One after the other, sure, not in the same dish.

Don't knock it til ya try it fellas! I work at a country club here in Kingsport, and last year the executive chef decided to make an ice cream very similar. Delicious :)

I used to work as a cook at a 4 star independent restaurant up in louisville. Our head chef made a bacon flavored ice cream, infused only, no actual bacon bits. It was amazing.

I had one of these a couple weeks ago: A Delicious Thing That Will Probably, Eventually Kill You

Definitely delicious. Definitely a don't knock it 'til you try it sort of combination. In fact, I think it would have been improved with the addition of even more bacon! The saltiness and sweetness are a great combination. And this is coming from a guy who really thinks this whole "add bacon to everything" trend it getting really played out.

Has anyone been to The Loveless Cafe's Hams and Jams Shop and tried either the BACON Truffle...or the maple and bacon popcorn...?
