Were it not for my Droid X and netbook I would be cut off from society. I actually had to pick up a book and read last night. Can you imagine that in 2011?:(:drama:

No problems for my comcast....It stayed up even when my power went out.....I love my UPS on the computers.....We had a few flickers last night when i was playing an online game and my computers didn't miss a beat....unlike the TV and direct TV box......

No problems downtown. Everything out East definitely got hit a lot harder. Had about a second of power flicker while at the office, but nothing suggests we lost power at the house during the day. Guess there's something to be said for living near a substation and having underground power rather than suspended lines. Cable and internet work just fine, though it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if the tv went out. Been considering dumping cable altogether (and not replacing it with satellite or anything). Internet is a different story, though... :)

Our power is still out in east memphis. Saw a MLGW guy doing a survey near the house. Stopped and asked if he had at least a guesstimate. Said maybe tomorrow. Just walking around my neighborhood theres several houses that just go flattened. Couple of side streets only got cleared around 1pm(approx 24hours later).

Least it aint too hot or too cold.

Guessing you might be close to the Colonial/Park area, seems to be that is the hardest hit area.

No problems with power. It was just the cable and internet having issues. It was back up by noon today and they will be bringing out a fancy new modem in the morning.

Just got power back about 20 minutes ago. Argh. Thank goodness for generators - at least my food survived the 4 days powerless.
