I was wondering if you guys have different holsters for different clothing?

Like, what holster would you recommend for jeans, dress pants, shorts, and basketball shorts.

I didn't know if you guys have recommendations for those types of clothing.

What gun are you carrying?

That can sometimes make a difference in where on the body it's easiest to carry and what style of holster works best for the gun.

It depends more on what I'm doing and where I am.

Most days it's a Crossbreed Supertuck, if I'm out in the woods or such I use a Bianchi molded nylon.

If I am dressed up, which I am most days, I use a leather OWB holster. It is covered in ostrich and tucks in really nice. It is very comfortable as well.

Now if I am not dressed up and slumming a bit I wear a kydex holster. It sticks out a bit farther than the leather one and doesn't hide as well.

My preferences changes with my dress also. but so does my caliber of gun. If just around the house most of the time I have an IWB with Ruger LCP. If running around I do a IWB for my Colt Defender 1911 but most of the time I do not tuck my shirt in. If dress up with jacket and slacks I switch to a shoulder rig for my 1911 38super. I really like a shoulder holster because the gun is towards the front of my body, I have had situations when in crowded areas that I find myself checking my IWB carry to insure it is still there.

MTAC / Supertuck for normal carry when its cool enough to have a shirt that covers well.

smart carry for church and similar.

wilderness safe packer for hiking and when its really really hot, also for when my back is acting up.

Man, I'm glad to hear I ain't the only one. My wife makes fun of me for changing up based on how I'm dressed or where I'm going.

With loose fitting cargo pants & t-shirt...CZ P-01 in Crossbreed Supertuck.

With jeans & t-shirt...same gun in pancake.

With long shirt/jacket...Ruger SP101 in slightly dropped holster w/ several speedloader holders

My Kel-Tec P-32 is always in my pocket, but it becomes my primary if I can't conceal one of the above.

My most common ones are MTAC, Supertuck and a Galco 82 CarryLok

I am using the same type of holster for all occasions. The reason being is that I am using the same type of retention holster (which is kydex non retention) and cant so that I am consistent on my drawing and presentation. When you change constantly you have to think does this have a thumb break retention in the time of need.

I generally like to stay with the same method of carry, and manual of arms. I do switch up occasionally, but only if the situation calls for it. I try to stay with the "hybrid" kydex and leather holsters (Comp-Tac and Crossbreed) for my normal carry, and generally carried at the 3:30 to 4 o'clock position.

Did you mean a "Bianchi" Carrylok 82?

Must be. I have a Carrylok for my HKs and one for the 1911. The 1911 is awesome, but the HK version is really hard to conceal. It is 1/2" thicker than the gun.

I wasn't sure what to get to use with my P238, a friend recommended Holsterpro found on ebay so I got a IWB. It's a well made holster but I think it would be more comfortable OWB.

I've got a Cross Bred ST with my SP101 purchase and thought I'd find one for the P238. Got one coming from Theisholsters.com | Home | Custom IWB Holsters many good raves from this maker and the prices are good.

Maybe this one will satisfy me.

Most of us have a big box full of holsters. You probably will one day as well. Some work well in a lot of situations, some work well in a few situations, and some just didn't work out at all.
