At least 15 wounded in South Side shootings over weekend

From McKinley Park to Hamilton Park, Gresham to Pullman and various other neighborhoods, the sound of gunfire was prevalent throughout the South Side of the city this weekend.

In the period of Saturday morning through Sunday night, at least 15 people, more than half in their teens and none older than 28, were wounded in shootings around the South Side.

What they need to do is round up as many bangers as they can find, put them in a stadium and let them have it out. Sell tickets for $200 a pop... upper levels only.

Why is the NRA holding a convention in Chicago? Why would they bless a city and state that is so unfriendly to guns? Do they think the laws will change because they get members to spend money there?

Hey, I"ll tell ya all what. Those gang bangers in Chicago are nothing to sneeze at. I was born and raised in the heart of the city (north side) and man it's hard to believe how many kids were and still are getting guns in there hands. I don't know whos hiding the stats about shootings there but they are common. Every area of the north side I lived in had some kind of gang activity and they all had guns. Now all this was 17 years ago but I stll talk to my boys back in the hood and nothing has really changed. The south side is even worse. The last time I was in Chicago, driving down the expressway, twice in the same day 2 little punks on the over passes were taking shots at traffic below them. I still call it home but im sure glad im here now.

Same reason there's been Baptist Church conventions in Vegas.

well... only mostly now.

I doubt whoever did this shooting went through the rediculous effort of getting a permit and registering their gun in Chicago though... especially since it was illegal to carry it anyways.

waiit.. wait.... no. especially since its ILLEGAL TO SHOOT PEOPLE ANYWAYS.
