Here lately I have been conducting a serious caliber/weapon purge. Consolidating both to common calibers. I'm almost finished. .223 & .308 rifles and 9x19 & .45 acp for handguns. All serious tools not toys. I've kept one toy in 45 Long Colt, I won't be getting rid if it. AND, I load 12g as well.

My one caliber left I have to cull is 8mm Mauser. My problem is what to do with the ammo I have. I can't sell it, and just flat out don't want to shoot it. They are reloads and even if it wasn't taboo to sell them, I wouldn't. I have contemplated pulling the bullets, but I have about 450-475 rounds I have loaded. All formed from 30/06 brass. Some LC & FA match, as well as others. I've got a lot invested in them too, 75% of it is soft point some of which is Hornady stuff.

Just fishing for [real] suggestions on what to do with it. Not "you should just give them to me" or other BS. I'm serious about not selling it. One, I'm not a benefactor, two, they are my reloads and I'm just not gonna do it.

Any ideas?

I think pulling it all, and selling the components is about the only option you have left yourself.

I know.:-\ I guess I'm just thinking there's an idea I overlooked. I have so much going on, I really don't feel like fooling with it. I have a couple bags of cement laying around. I thought about just mixing them in with some quick-crete and then chunking it in the lake at my buddies place, but that doesn't benefit me any.

Put it in a ammo can and put it away. Then if you ever need some 8x57 you will have it. If sealed well it will keep indefinitely. Better to have it and not need it than the other way round.
