Wife training...

So this afternoon I took the oppotunity to sit down with my wife and go over a few things. Now my wife is not a gun enthusiast like I am, nor is she anti-gun. Her father is former army officer so she has been around them for a long time. She has only shot a few times (working in that)

Anyways, back to the subject. Today I took out several different magazines and ammo to go with each mag. We sat there and I showed her how to load each one efficiently. She did good up until about 7 rds then it started getting tough. I'm good with that. I also ran her through some magazine cycling on the G27 and Ruger SR9C. She did good there as well. Next thing is speed. The faster she can reload my mags while I shoot the better. (however I'm sure we won't be in some crazy shoot out, but you never know!!)

With a little more practice we will both be comfortable with each step. And with more shooting practice we will be a formidable double threat to any BG that attempts to try something.

Here's what I did with my wife, and will recommend it to anyone. Get a copy of

"Teaching Women To Shoot, A Law Enforcement Instructor's Guide". Got mine from

Amazon. Written By two female firearms instructors, Viki Farnam & Diane Nicholl.

The book is geared for women. Women learn firearms differently than men. Think

the book was about $20, and worth every penny.

What you have started out doing is great. Simple steps, with time for it to sink

in & be comfortable. Basically what the book teaches.
