Can anyone refer me to an expert smith to do a couple of trigger jobs on S&W revolvers. Somewhere close to SE TN would be great, but not a deal breaker. Thanks.

The gunsmith at Sportsmans Supply in Hixson did a trigger job on my 70's model 586 which seemed to smooth it out some. It had a pretty good trigger to begin with. I bought it used and apparently it had been barely shot for all those years, didn't even have rotation marks on the outside of the cylinder (blue gun).

Not sure where abouts you consider se tn but if knoxville is in that category I recommend predator custom shop off papermill.

I second the motion to do it yourself using the Jerry Miculek dvd, "Trigger Job." For what a decent S&W sideplate screwdriver, decent stone and the DVD costs you can do a hundred S&W trigger jobs. It ain't rocket science and doesn't take much time or equipment.
