Gun Buster Sign

Recommended Posts

I went to my local Little General Store the other day and noticed that they had put up a gun buster sign but above it they had posted the words {No Open Carry}. So i am thinking that concealed carry is allowed but did'nt want to ask. Has anyone else seen businesses posted this way?

First one I've heard of. Seems to me they need to take down the gun buster sign because by force of law it says no carry in TN. I guess they could post their own sign that said no open carry if that is what they want to say to the public.

This seems to be a case where speaking to the owners can't really hurt anything as they are already properly prohibiting All carry. I agree with RoadKill. Sounds like they may not have a problem with cc and if that is the case they might remove the gun buster and leave the wording. It could even be an option to remove the circle slash but leave the gun and wording both for increased visibility.

In the end it cant hurt to talk with them.

just my two cents

As the others have said...by law the gun buster sign prevents ALL carry.

If their intent is to only prohibit OC then they need to remove the gun buster sign.

Again as the others have said, can't hurt to talk to them in this case.

What town is this in?

Yep...been through there often.

If you talk to the manager, let us know how it goes.

They may be thinking of the old law where a gun buster sign alone wasn't a legally binding posting, but as part of the restaurant carry law change, now it is.

I have the same sign at the Little General in my town. I thought it was strange when I first saw it a few weeks ago. Needless to say I haven't visited it since.

It's not Dollar General. It is The Little General gas station and convenience store.

You know, it appears to me that there are lots of gun buster signs and no carry postings popping up frequently now.

I was thinking the same thing.

I have been following the CB thread and now this one. I will be watching out for signs like this. If I see one at a place I shop, I will ask to speak with the manager.

I am going to Knoxville today, going to town in and have me some No Guns, no Cash cards printed to carry.
