Winchester 1200 Failure to Cycle

Hey guys I recently converted an old Winchester 1200 bird gun to an 18.5" HD gun. I added a 2 round mag extension and was loading some shells into it but it won't cycle them out. I can't even bring the action back. I took this gun down to the bolt and spring and cleaned throughly before putting it back together. I think the new forend might be jamming it up. Any suggestions as to why this is happening. I was thinking about going out to the farm and firing that round so I don't have a live round in a malfunctioning unit, or should I take it straight to the local gunsmith? Any advice is appreciated.
