Beltman Belt Review

I needed a velcro-lined belt. I honestly can't see how it would be any better than my Comp-tac.

You could always get the quickship belt and have a seamstress sew in the velcro. That is what I did on my first belt. There was a shoe repair shop over by the Kroger on Sanderlin, old russian guy that will make fun of you if you have cheap shoes to be fixed, that sewed the velcro in. It has since moved, I think it is over by the Fox and the Hound. But I'm sure any other shoe repair shop or seamstress could do it. He charged $15.

Copy.

Rev. Jones at Bartlett Shoe Repair did the same thing with my first one. I really wanted a velcro Beltman, but the 40 days changed my mind. If we ever meet, I'd like to compare my Comp-tac to your Beltman.

Hey everyone, real quick question, another forum about Beltman Belts said that once the belt got wet, it lost all of what made it a Beltman. This concerns me a little, seeing as I spend alot of time fishing, and occasionally get wet. Also, what would the longevity of this belt be? Should I be expecting 1-2 years, or 5-10+ years with proper maintenance? All I have ever owned is department store cheapos. Thanks!

dont mean to steal the thread, but if anyone has tried more than one gun belt, i would love to see some compairitive reviews.

I really need to get one, and I hear great things about all of them. I'm not sure which would be best.

I can see that soaking the belt would effectively ruin it. In your case, I'd stick with the nylon "wilderness instructor" type belt when fishing. I've worn my beltman daily for 4+ years and it's still in excellent shape. I hope "proper" maintenance means none... I've never done a thing to it, other than wear it.

Ordered a Beltman belt couple of months ago. Very good material and craftsmanship, wears well and holds my holsters in close.

About $86 total but worth it in my opinion.

A quality belt is definitely worth the cost. I wear my nylon Wilderness belt now more than any other due to the ability to fit it exactly where I want, but have several quality leather belt to wear as needed. All reports I have heard about Beltman has been positive.
