Sig P290 is out

Anyone inclined to buy one? $700 for a 9mm that is bigger and heavier than a LC9 (not to mention the PM9, PF-9, and the new DB9) with a 8-9lb trigger pull. Sounds like Sig has got a new line of firearms to blow out like the 250s.

Not I said the fly. No DAO for me. I just don't like those heavy triggers. Nice looking gun though. And it's kind of cool the way you can swap out the side of the grips.

why would someone want a pocket 9 that is bigger and heavier? And I thought they were supposed to be closer to the $400 range?

Looks like a typical Sig to me. Too thick. Too heavy and too expensive.

Not, me. I like SIG's but right after I buy a new one the price drops. I bought a new P220 in the early 90's then the price went down. I bought a P225 and the price went down. Then they started selling the P-6's. I really did it on the P250 I bought. It makes me sick when I see what they are selling for now. It's a good gun but I don't carry it. I can keep it forever or lose big bucks. I haven't decided which I want to do:confused:

you should pick up a 229 E2....I'm holding off on one of those until the price comes down....:bowrofl:

I like the gun. And I really like SIG's. But for the price, I think not. I could buy an LC9 AND an LCP for that. Or throw in another $100 and get two LC9's. Or a SOLO.

Not me. I'm looking at the LC-9 and the DB-9 or other light wieght DAO pocket rockets. I like the idea of a pocket pistol in 9mm. If the recoil is managable, which I think it will be for me and it is reliable, I'll have on in my pocket all the time.

I think Sig makes a fine handgun. I know people who swear by them and I know police officers who depend on them every day. I just don't own one.........maybe some day.

I like most Sig's and even own a couple but will wait to pass judgment on this one until I can actually hold one and see what they are really selling for. So far, by just reading the write ups in the gun rags and comparing the specs, the LC9 does appear the way to go.

I love the all metal sigs, I have no desire to own the plastic ones. I would just buy a kahr cm9 or a lc9 if I wanted a low capacity 9...heck maybe an lcr is a better alternative to either for the current going rate of $380

You're gonna have to get a used one 'cause they don't make 'em anymore.

Nope. I'm just not a sigger... :D

Nor am I, Steel.....Anybody tried out the new Kimber Solo yet? Looks good; however, I bet it's pricey as well.
