Obama's father in WWII??!!?? or so he says

Here is a CNN video where he claims his father was in WWII:

Now lets check the birthdates of both of his fathers:

Barack Hussein Obama Sr. (Obama's father) Born: 4/4/36 Died: 11/24/82 at the age of 46. He was 5 years old when WW II started, and less than 9 1/2 yrs old when it ended.

Lolo Soetoro (Obama's step father) Born: January 2,1935 Died: 3/2/87 at the age of 52.

He was 6 years old when WW II started, and 10 years old when it ended. He must have been the youngest Veteran in the war.

This might be old news but I just found out and it is par for the course.

Although amusing, I'm quite sure that was just a slip of the tongue.

Obama's grandfather did serve in WWII.

(not to mention that plenty of people do refer to their grandfathers as fathers)

im no supporter for sure, but for much better reasons than this.

It could have been a slip of the tongue, other then that a president should be clear father vs grandfather.

I am sure that will come back turning the next election so we might get an answer.

This is the least of our worries with the guy. He stutters and stumbles when he talks, and these sorts of goof up are very common every time his prompter is out of sight or off or whatever. I am sure he meant grandfather and got tangled up.

I dont care what his family did or does -- his dad or grandad could have been running whiskey and robbing banks for all that it matters. What matters are the deeds done by Obama himself... his granddaddy could have won the medal of honor and O would still be the same person.

Unless character doesn't matter anymore. My father was in WW2.

His B-17 got shot up several times.

If his father was 5 or 6 years old

he lied. I won't try to rationalize

the messiah's message to nothing.

Some of you can. Isn't he the

President? I think I can hold that

liar to a higher standard.

And on another note, Michelle bragged about sitting on her fathers lap as she watched Carl Lewis in the 1984 olympics. Nothing odd about that until you consider she was born in 1964 making her 19 or 20 at the time of the olympics. I understand being close and all of that but sitting on your fathers lap at age 20 is a bit weird.

If that was aimed at me, I am not rationalizing or defending him. I am saying that we already know his character, and his family history (good or bad or both) is unimportant. Given that we know his character already, another lie more or less is not all that significant, and there are far, far better examples than this one because this one could actually have just been a brain fart (other examples are far more fun, there are some 20 lies associated with the health care bill alone).

And what's wrong with having a 19 or 20 year old sitting in your lap while you watch TV???:):D

Considering it is his daughter I could see something seriously wrong with it. Definitely a red flag when you have your daughter at age twenty sitting on your lap at any time.

Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. (1936 − 24 November 1982) A little young for WWII

I doubt if anything is unimportant

concerning him. Everything his

admin is doing will impact you, one

way or another, not in a good way.

Meh. Unimportant slip of the lip. Granddad vs dad.

Note: Whenever a politician's lips are moving, they are lying.

And, since when is Snopes reliable as a credible fact finding anything. what makes them so

accurate? You'd be surprised about snopes, themselves. Hollow

Snopes definitely leans way to the left, when they can. Did anyone see the View the other day when Trump was on there? Although I agree with him, I was very surprised to hear him say what he did about wanting Obama to produce a birth certificate. The "birthers" have gotten such a bad label, but whats the big deal? Like Trump said, if there's nothing wrong with it, why not just produce it and lay it all to rest?
