I have some ideas on what I need and the size I can use.

I need a safe Max 28 inch wide, about 20 inch deep.

Other then Gander Mnt. Where else should I at least shop around.

If you have the current Gander Mnt. Ad they have one on Sale I have been looking at for 599. I know a few weeks ago I missed it at 549. So I might get lucky in a few weeks. Last week I was in the store and it was 700. So I know they keep changing the price.

I know I want a Fire Rated safe and this one is 30 minutes fire rated.

Were I live I know the Fire Department is normally available with in 5 minutes.

I am not sold on this safe or Gander Mnt., but I have 300 dollars in gift cards I need to spend there so they have that going for them. The size of the closet I am going to put it in is another factor.

However I know very little about safes so I am willing to listen to what others might have to say.

My main reason for wanting a safe is mainly theft prevention as I know our fire department is on site very fast. However since I am getting one I feel I should get it Fire Rated, at least some.

Current Sales - Gander Mountain

I believe they told me this one will hold up to 22 long guns, more then I have but always buy bigger then you need right.

I bought a safe from the Champion outlet. Same day delivery and outstanding customer service. All they sell are safes and they know their business.

I bought mine from Tractor Supply. I didn't even know they had them. I was in there one day and saw them. Glad I was driving my SUV because I bought one.
