EDC Update

I have been carrying a Seecamp LWS .380 alternating with a M&P 340 Centennial J Frame as EDC. That hasn't changed, but I have been looking for a lighter folding knife and a slightly brighter light.

The new knife is a Spyderco Native at 2.8 ounces, replacing a Gerber FAST and the LED light is a stylus style 4Sevens Preon II 120 lumens replacing a Preon II 90 lumens. I really like the small diameter of a stylus light with a clip that can go in the pants or shirt pocket. Three levels and runs on AAA.

The Preon II is a great light. I had one but ended up selling it because it kept turning its self on while in my pocket. I carry a Stylus Pro and it does the job.

I like the Spyderco too!

pretty sure you can send it in to Spyderco and they will fix it for you.

We will see how this blade holds up, definitely can't use it for much prying. The frame is all synthetic, no metal, no lock, rather minimalistic, so its a blade not a pry bar or screw driver.

I carry the spyderco native daily since Nov. It needs a good edge put on it other than that its a good knife. I won't care if I damage because its not a high dollar knife.

Along with my XD9SC, I've been carrying a Surefire and a S&W M&P folder. The light is large, so I've been looking for a penlight like that. I'll check it out.

The Native is a very good knife, I've carried one on and off duty for several year's w/o any problem's. It replaced the Police model I'd carried for nine year's. I don't have any experence with the flashlight brand mentioned but like the look's and size of it for off duty carry.

Check the website

www.4sevens.com

They have a number of outstanding products and light varients. They ship out of Atlanta and the 4Sevens lights carry a 10 year warranty. I have about 10 4Sevens lights.
