Spyderco C41PBK Native, Black FRN Handle, Plain

I don't have too many bladed instruments. I have been EDCing a Gerber with FAST mech for a couple of years now and it has served me well. For $39 it is a darn good tool. Here it is with the PM9.

I decided to get something a bit lighter though and after some suggestions and research I bought a Spyderco Native. I like the light weight and it certainly is sharp out of the box. Totally manual, no lock and no metal in the frame.

I guess I will never get into knives like I have handguns, rifles, LED flashlights and inflatable boats but at $60 it is going to be tough to make the jump to $100. I'm just having a hard time with the margin of utility.

I'm looking at some Benchmades.

I have a Spyderco Native with the serrated blade as a backup knife. I upgraded to a plain edge Paramilitary.

EDC update. At least I don't have to break in a new folder and flashlight.

The Native will serve you well as an EDC. I have been carrying one for about 5 years now.
