So I just got my forms in and got to filling them out.I was wondering how you approach the the sheriff and get him to sign your forms.Do you call and schedule to see him or just swing by the station?

For your C&R? No signature necessary. The CLEO (Sheriff) just has to receive a copy of your forms. Drop by and leave it at the office with a note explaining what they are ..or you could just mail a copy.

As others have said, the CLEO is not required to approve or "sign off" on it. He/she just needs to be notified. Just mail it in and consider it done.

This. If you go by there and try to explain the nature of your business they will have no idea of what you are talking about.

That's cool... That sounds pretty simple. I think I will go on and follow through with it then. Thanks

When I started looking into getting my C&R I definitely had a "Could it really be that simple?" moment.

Hopefully I was right. Waiting on my license to show up in the mail now.

The site keeps telling me that I need to join in the conversations so this post ought to satisfy the software for a while.

I've sent a copy of my renewal to the local sheriff each time with the statement that it is required that he get a copy.

I never hear anything from it. I see him quite often and we talk but the C&R is never mentioned.
