Hate to hear it, Steelharp... It certainly sucks when people wander off, leaving you here to deal with this crap we call life, all on your own.

Probably 3/4 of the people I grew up with are long gone now, living only in my own memories... which fade a little more each day, as I grow older.

Hang in there... I won't say it gets any easier, but it does at least seem to become more tolerable.

...Sorry for rambling a bit... your post just made me think of people I haven't seen or talked to in many years now...

I try to remember "don't let your head hit the bed without a kind sentiment said." I've gotten in the habit of no longer taking things for granted, and no longer assuming that the important people in my life know what I think about them. Sure, I get some quirky looks sometimes, but if I love you...I tell you.

I rest at night.
