Nubbin' is a 20 ga. Rossi Overland, NFA conversion. 10 1/2" barreled side by side. Nubbin' shoots like a dream and handles like one too. Even shooting one handed the recoil is less than many handguns using 20 ga. buckshot loads:

Nubbin' get yourself out here and show yourself to the forum:

Since I got these pics of Nubbin' he has had his butt stained to match the rest of his woodwork:)

That's awesome! It makes me want to live in post-apocalyptic Australia so I can have an excuse to carry one.

Ha, ironic, I just got my paperwork signed by the sheriff 45 minutes ago to make one of them, mailing it out tomorrow. Same thing except mine is hammerless, and it'll have 10" barrels instead of 10.5", and its gonna be with a springfield arms instead of a rossi.

No screw in chokes in it yet.

That is one of my dream guns. I would like a 12ga though. Only problems, for me, are buying the shotgun, and then paying for the tax stamp. I don't have a single gun that has cost more that 250 bucks tops. I doubt I could find a 12ga SxS for 50 bucks.

Very nice job, btw. I am quite jealous.

very nice jessie does it kick much when shooting it with 1 hand

Not near as much as several of my revolvers and the recoil isn't sharp at all. Kinda like a big bore black powder pistol. That's one reason I opted for 20 ga. instead of 12, this time. The cut down grip also helps with the recoil in my opinion over a gun with a full pistol grip.

On the other hand, my 870 WMFAS 12 ga. isn't too much fun to shoot one handed;)

I wanted a hammer gun too and not something from China. I had to look a long time to find this 1970's vintage Rossi imported by Garcia. There wasn't too many of them made in 20 ga. Even at that it required a bit of soul searching because the little 20" bbl. coach gun was choked M&F and would have made a great little hunting gun but someone had shortened the stock and added a recoil pad. I could manage it but it was short.

I would caution anyone doing one of these conversions to be aware at all times where they place their hand on the forend. It would be mucho oucho to shoot a hand off:cry:

I suppose something similar to what is on my 870 WMFAS could be added but I couldn't think of any way of doing it that wouldn't look hideous on a SXS.
